I always remember today was the birthday of my best friend when I was a child. Her name was Karen Lee. We lost touch when I was just 10 years old. She moved to London then and we did write for a while. She was a year older than me and I was 12 and she was 13 when we just stopped writing but by then we had not seen each othe for 2-3 years. It was so much harder to stay in touch in the 1970s!
Anyway, I hope Karen is still out there and doing well.
